Project Calico comes to New York and does a (mini) meetup marathon

The Project Calico team is invading visiting New York from the 6th through the 17th of April.  Cory Benfield, one of our lead developers, will be around from the 6th through the 8th, Joe Whitehouse, one of our evangelists will be in and out of Manhattan for a lot of the those two weeks, and I will be there for the whole time.

We will be participating in two meetups while we are there, please join us for a project briefing, demo, and discussion.

  • On the 15th of April, we’ll be at the Downtown NYC Tech Meetup and discussing how Project Calico networking works for bare metal, VM’s and containers.  A docker demo (demo gods willing) and lots of Q&A (we hope) will round out the time.  The location hasn’t been determined yet, but it will be in Manhattan, stay tuned to the event’s meetup page.  Our thanks to our friends at Packet for arranging this.
  • Also, on the 15th of April, we’ll be speaking at the Docker NYC meetup talking about Calico’s Docker integration, our use of etcd, and finishing up with a demo.
  • On the 16th of April we’ll be dropping in on the DevOps and Automation NJ group, again talking about Project Calico networking, and how it will simplify a scale-out infrastructure.  Again, if the demo gods will it, we will do a docker or OpenStack demo.  The announcement isn’t out yet, so stay tuned to their page for details.  We really appreciate Tanya Kravtsov‘s assistance in setting this one up.

If you can’t make it, but still want to meetup and chat, we’re around for those two weeks, just drop us a line, and we’ll grab a coffee or some such.

Hope to meet a lot of you over the next two weeks.
