Virtual event features speakers from AWS, Box, Discover, Mirantis, and Morgan Stanley
SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, 2021 — Tigera Inc., leader in Kubernetes security and observability, today announced it will be virtually hosting a company and industry-first event, the Kubernetes Security and Observability Summit, on Thursday, June 3.
The Summit brings together cloud-native platform, security, DevOps, and SRE teams to explore the trends, strategies, and technologies driving Kubernetes security and observability use cases and architectures.
“As an industry, we’ve reached a level of maturity with Kubernetes deployments where it’s important to share best practices that will help adoption increase much faster so that more enterprises can take advantage of Kubernetes benefits,” said Ratan Tipirneni, CEO of Tigera.
As the industry’s first conference with the sole focus on Kubernetes security and observability, the live virtual event will include discussions with open-source and technology leaders on thought leadership, real-world experiences, fundamentals, and best practices for securing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments. Attendees will network with the industry’s best cloud-native platform, security, DevOps, and SRE teams, learn how to secure, observe and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments, and explore real-world Kubernetes security and observability use cases.
The event will include a virtual networking area to provide an online version of face-to-face networking, plus digital booths sponsored by vendors for attendees to explore, as well as themed activity breaks and games.
The Kubernetes Security and Observability Summit is a free event. Register for the event here.
Tigera is the industry leader in Kubernetes security and observability, and is also the inventor and maintainer of open-source Calico. Its newest offering, Calico Cloud, is a next-generation, Kubernetes-native cloud service that extends the declarative nature of Kubernetes to specify “security and observability as code,” which ensures consistent enforcement of security policies and compliance, and provides observability and troubleshooting across multi-cluster, multi-cloud, and hybrid deployments. Tigera’s solutions are used by some of the world’s leading companies, including AT&T, Discover, Merck, ServiceNow, HanseMerkur, RealPage, L3Harris, and Mindbody.
Project Calico is an open-source project with an active development and user community. Open-source Calico was born out of this project and has grown to be the most widely adopted solution for Kubernetes networking and security, powering 1M+ nodes daily across 166 countries.
